AMT Ceramic Studio
Workshop and Studio Policies.
- Upon completion of the agreed workshop schedule, Full payment of workshop fee is required to secure a slot.
- No Cancellation / No Refund Policy. However, the student/s may reschedule on her/his convenient time to make up for the unattended scheduled session/s provided It won’t interfere with the studio’s prior engagements with other students/s and or studio production schedules.
- For workshops, a maximum of 2 rescheduling is allowed: *Single Session: Maximum of 2 reschedules allowed. *Full Course: Maximum of 2 reschedules allowed, with 1 session deducted after rescheduling. (A ₱500 rescheduling fee applies per adjustment)
- Student/s is/are encouraged to inform the studio ahead of time if will be late or if cannot make it to the agreed scheduled session.
- Additional fee is required for clay and firing services (Studio Published Rates) if the student/s would like to use in excess of the allotted clay per session.
- Student/s is/are encouraged to properly monitor his/her works for drying/trimming, this will be taught during the workshop.
- For health and safety reasons, kindly inform the studio ahead of time if there are medical conditions that will hinder the participant/s’ efficiency/performance during the workshop. Student/s should wear comfortable clothes and must provide their own face masks, apron, surgical gloves, etc. if necessary.
- Student/s must clean their workspace and tools every time. Clay bucket is provided at the studio for clay recycling. Proper recycling and disposal of unused and rejected pieces will be taught at the workshop.
- For Glazing and Firing, full-course student/s must glaze all his/her works on the 8th session for Wheel-Throwing & 6th for Handbuilding. Students/’ work will be fired on the earliest studio firing schedule and could be claimed after scheduled kiln unloading.
- Cracked works, improperly glazed pieces will not be fired. Unclaimed pieces will be kept at the studio for maximum of 2 months. Unclaimed pieces will be discarded or will be included in studio’s clearance sale or will be donated.
- The studio promotes and cultivates inclusivity and safe space for learning, In the event that the student/s would show threat and unacceptable behavior to any of the staff, instructors and studio community - within the studio vicinity, the management has the right to cancel or discontinue any service/workshop the student/s has/have availed and will be banned at the studio.
Firing Services Terms & Conditions
- The Kiln Firing Form must be accomplished and signed before availing firing services.
- Per piece firing is only for AMT Ceramics students and upon kiln space availability.
- Pieces less than 3 inches in height will be automatically charged as 3 inches.
- Our studio-glazes are free to use alongside our firing services. Clients may use their own glazes, provided they bring test tiles.
- The studio will not be liable for any breakage of pieces due to mishandling, improper glazing, and/or unacceptable ceramic techniques or procedures made by the Client.
- Cracked & improperly glazed pieces will be rejected.
- Should the kiln and its shelves be damaged due to improperly glazed pieces made by the Client, they will be charged for repair/replacement costs.
- The Client will be notified once firing has been completed and ready for pick-up. For student per piece firing, please be advised that we will only be releasing the fired pieces once payment for the total firing cost has been processed.
- Due to studio space constraints, unclaimed pieces will be discarded or donated after 3 months.
